Question:
I'm in the process of upgrading from a Tracker Pro 17' to a larger/glass
bass boat. I'm about to purchase a 19' Charger bass boat [1999 with a 150hp
motor]. Anyone care to share some comments about this boat.
Answer:
-Solid built, not impressive performance. That boat will be pretty slow with
just a 150 on it.
I hope you wanted the truth.
-They tend to have wet rear decks from backwash too. Just learn to set the
boat down and it will be ok. Careful backing into waves! I never liked the
decks as they weren't flat. But then, my old 16'8" Champion had that same
problem. It was tail heavy and always fun to walk around it. My
gracefulness in the Champion was legendary, like a gorilla standing on a
football.
-charger makes a hell of a good boat. i own a champion and have fished many
chargers. they are very good and i am not saying it because i won one or
get paid by them.
