Seeking info on new bass boats , any comment about Bullet

Question:
I am considering buying a new bass boat. I am looking at serveral makes including Pro-Craft, Gambler, Bullet, and Allison. I like the local Pro-Craft dealer but I am concerned about the performance of Pro-Craft-especially the top end speed. Any information regarding these boats--or perhaps another make I should consider-- would be appreciated. I am open to suggestions. I have to admit I am weighing the performance factors -- especially speed--over the boats fishing features. I fish as often as I can, but I do not spend as much time in the boat as some you may. Therefore I am willing to sacrafice some fishing comfort for a bass boat designed more with speed and performance in mind.

Answer:
-If it's speed you want, and cost is no object, by all means go for the Allison -- it is a racer first and a fishing platform last.

If your budget is a little more constrained, or if you really do want to tournament fish and still have high-end performance, go for the Bullet.

The Pro Craft is a bass boat that will go fast. All bass boats these days will go pretty fast. You can probably buy 2 of these for the price of an Allison. If you buy a boat > 20 feet there are usually no horsepower restrictions. The latest issue of Walleye and Bass Boats magazine has a Champion 21' Bass Boat powered by 2 (yes two) 225 HP Mariners that is toying around just below 100 mph.

-IF YOU WANT A BASS BOAT THAT CAN SUBSTITUTE FOR A SPEED BOAT AND HAS A GREAT TOP END SPEED YOUR BEST BET WOULD BE THE GAMBLER INTIMIDATOR. MY DAD HAS ONE AND HE LOVES IT. I PERSONALLY FISH OUT OF A NITRO 180 TF FOR ME IT IS A PERFECK BOAT ALTHOUGH THE TOP SPEED IS AROUND 65 MPH IT IS VERY FISHABLE AND HAS MANY NICE FEATURES. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT AND YOU CAN PUT A 225 ON IT TO GET THE SPEED YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. WELL GOOD LUCK IN SEARCHING FOR A NEW BOAT.
